The Gist: Lake Travis ISD plans to expand its pre-K program for the 2026–27 school year. New classrooms will open at West Cypress Hills and Lakeway elementaries, with added capacity at Serene Hills, Lake Travis, and Lake Pointe. The district says demand has stayed strong, with waitlists topping 100 students in recent years. Tuition remains $6,500, with free options for families who meet state eligibility rules.

Why It Matters: The expansion helps more local families access early learning close to home. It’s nice to see the district planning ahead as more young families move into the area.
