Traffic is back!

School zones. Breakfast in the car. Eyeliner at stoplights. Kids with bed head pretending to be awake in the back seat. Everyone is late. Everyone is stressed. MoPac once again looks like MoPac.

Summer mornings were nice while they lasted.

But there is one glorious upside to all of this:

The kids are back in school.

They get to see their friends. Parents get some structure back. Teachers get our children for seven hours a day.

The Gist: Bee Cave-based CesiumAstro has acquired Jariet Technologies, a semiconductor company that develops advanced chips used in satellite communications and other high-performance systems. The deal brings more of CesiumAstro’s technology development in-house as the company expands its space communications business and prepares to launch its first Element satellite this fall.

Why It Matters: CesiumAstro is already planning a major Bee Cave expansion, with a $500 million investment and roughly 500 jobs tied to its new headquarters. This acquisition gives the growing company more control over a key part of the technology behind its satellites and communications systems as it builds out its local operations.

Keepers Austin brings seafood, tacos and cocktails to Austin. The menu ranges from oysters and ceviche to blackened salmon tacos, redfish with grits and garlic chili noodles. Happy hour also includes smaller dishes that work well for sharing.

There’s a patio for outdoor dining and a full bar serving cocktails, making it an easy spot for a casual dinner, happy hour or drinks with friends.
