Trader Joe’s has officially announced its next Austin-area outpost: Bee Cave. The specialty grocer is taking over the former Office Max space at Shops at the Galleria (12770 Shops Pkwy), nestled between Marshalls and Mandola’s Italian Kitchen. This 17,000-square-foot space is currently under renovation, marking the fourth store in the greater Austin area.
The new location adds to the chain’s local footprint, which already includes downtown Austin, Rollingwood, and Arbor Trails.
Shoppers can expect the full Trader Joe’s experience, including house-brand staples, international finds, and seasonal fan favorites. The store is also expected to offer its usual sample stations, which are a hallmark of the Trader Joe’s experience.
Its placement next to other high-traffic businesses like Spec’s and Nothing Bundt Cakes makes it a convenient stop for grocery runs in a popular shopping center.
The new Trader Joe’s will sit just across Highway 71 from the Hill Country Galleria, which houses a Whole Foods Market. With both grocers now serving the area, Bee Cave residents will have even more options for specialty and organic products without having to drive into central Austin.
There’s no official opening date yet, but renovations are actively underway.
