Construction is officially underway on a new Staybridge Suites hotel in West Austin. A groundbreaking ceremony was held Dec. 4 in partnership with the West Austin Chamber of Commerce, marking the start of the project. The hotel is expected to open in fall 2026, with an anticipated opening month of October.
The upcoming Staybridge Suites will include 100 guest rooms and offer standard IHG extended stay amenities. Plans for the property include guest laundry facilities, outdoor grilling areas, a fitness center, a swimming pool and meeting space. The hotel is intended to serve visitors to the Lake Travis, River Place and Four Points areas.
Management of the new location will be led by John Wiseman, who currently serves as the general manager of Hyatt Place Lake Travis. Staybridge Suites is part of the IHG brand and operates more than 50 locations throughout Texas.
The project team includes SLTX Capital, The Mathis Group and H and H Construction. Representatives connected to Hyatt Place Austin Lake Travis Four Points were also part of the groundbreaking event. Chamber officials said the development reflects continued growth and investment in the West Austin area.
With construction now underway, the new Staybridge Suites adds another hospitality project to the region as development continues along the Lake Travis corridor.
