Opened in April at 1104 Cuernavaca Dr N, Austin, JoJo’s Bakery already feels like a longtime neighborhood staple. Set in a charming space with vintage mugs, shady porch seating, and a little play area out front, this family-run bakery invites you to linger. Whether you’re after a strong coffee, a savory bite, or just something sweet and soul-soothing, JoJo’s delivers all the comfort you didn’t know you needed.

Scratch-Made, Soul-Filled

Everything at JoJo’s Bakery is made from scratch using locally and organically sourced ingredients. The rosemary-Gruyère scone is the kind of flaky perfection you daydream about. The cinnamon rolls, built on their signature potato sourdough, are pure heaven. And the club sandwich? An instant classic. The vibe is warm, the flavors are thoughtful, and every bite feels like it was made with love, because it was.

The Legacy Behind the Loaf

Founder Lily Swartz grew up in the Cuernavaca community and always dreamed of opening a bakery right here. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America and working in top kitchens in Chicago and Austin, she made that dream real.

The name JoJo’s is a tribute to her grandmother, Joann, who inspired a love of feeding people well. JoJo Bread, a tender, tangy potato sourdough passed down through generations, is the heart of the bakery and appears in everything from cinnamon rolls to kolaches to sandwich loaves.

This is more than a bakery. It’s a love letter to family, heritage, and the Austin community.
