📚 Bee Cave voters approve new library but reject funding
The Gist: Bee Cave residents voted to approve construction of a new 18,500-square-foot public library but rejected the funding measure that would have covered the $19.98 million project, according to unofficial Travis County results. Proposition A passed with about 57% support, while Proposition B, which proposed issuing bonds and adding a small property tax, failed with 55% opposed.
Why It Matters: City leaders now must find alternative funding to bring the long-awaited library to life. It’s still a step forward for Bee Cave’s vision, even if the path ahead needs some creative planning.
