🌵 Banana split French toast is on the menu in Bee Cave

There’s a point every October when I decide it’s fall, regardless of what the temperature says.

I’ve waited long enough. There are pumpkins outside the grocery store. Football is on. Somebody somewhere is wearing a sweater. That should count.

Austin does make you work for it, though. You can start the morning thinking about a fire pit and finish the afternoon wondering whether the pool is still an option.

But I like this time of year. Dinner outside becomes a reasonable idea again. Walks get longer. People start coming out of their houses without immediately looking for shade.

After spending so much of the summer moving between air-conditioned buildings, it feels good to want to be outside.

So I’m calling it. Fall is here.

The Gist: A new fitness and wellness studio, The House by Savor + Sweat, is planned for 3423 Bee Caves Road in West Lake Hills. The 3,022-square-foot space will bring the brand's mix of dance cardio, barre, HIIT workouts, and nutrition-focused offerings to a physical location.

Why It Matters: The studio would give West Austin residents another option for group fitness and wellness, with workouts and nutrition resources under one roof. Construction is scheduled for completion in January 2027, though an opening date hasn't been announced.
